Creating a MyWVUChart account is the first step toward taking control of your health online. With an account, you’ll be able to view test results, manage appointments, request prescription refills, and securely message your WVU Medicine care team from any device.
Whether you have an activation code from your provider or need to sign up using your personal information, the process is designed to be simple, safe, and convenient.
Sign Up with an Activation Code
If you’ve received an activation code from WVU Medicine, signing up for MyWVUChart is quick and simple. Your activation code is typically printed on your After Visit Summary or sent to you via email after an appointment. This unique code helps connect your identity with your medical record securely.
To get started:
- Visit the MyWVUChart Sign-Up Page. Copy https://mywvuchart.com/MyChart/accesscheck.asp
- Enter your MyWVUChart activation code exactly as it appears. (Codes usually look like a mix of numbers and letters separated by dashes.)
- Provide your date of birth and ZIP code so the system can confirm your identity.
- Create a MyWVUChart username and password that you’ll use to log in moving forward. Choose something memorable but secure.
- Confirm your email address and set up security questions for added protection.
Once complete, your account will be ready to use, giving you immediate access to test results, appointment scheduling, prescription refills, and secure messaging with your WVU Medicine care team.
Sign Up with Your Information (No Activation Code?)
Don’t have an activation code? No problem — you can still create your MyWVUChart account using your personal details.
Here’s how:
- Head to the MyWVUChart Sign-Up Page and click on “Sign Up with your information” under the “No Activation Code?” section.
- Enter your first and last name, date of birth, and legal gender exactly as they appear in your medical records.
- Provide your social security number (last four digits) and ZIP code to help the system match your record.
- Confirm your identity by answering a few quick questions.
- Once verified, you’ll be able to create your MyWVUChart username and password.
This method is just as secure as using an activation code. After completing the setup, you’ll be ready to log in to MyWVUChart anytime, anywhere — whether on the web or through the mobile app.
